I have a studio where we use a very heavy MXL condenser microphone. My microphone stand base is round and heavy but not always stable. When the stand tipped over one day from the weight of the condenser mic, and broke this mount, I immediately went to our local Guitar Center to purchase a new one. Guitar Center said they didn't carry one. In fact, they said they carry a mount for almost every mic but this particular one. I had to have the mount to use the mic and I needed the mic badly. I bought this mount which is EXACTLY like the one that came from the manufacturer when the mic was purchased. My ordering was fast easy and the delivery was quick with no problems.
